How to Enter the Miss Alabama Competition

Calling all young women who dream of representing the Yellowhammer State!

The Miss Alabama competition is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 season. This prestigious pageant selects the state's representative to the annual Miss America Competition, a platform where young women showcase their intelligence, talent, and commitment to service.

To enter the Miss Alabama competition, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be a female citizen of the United States
• Be between the ages of 17 and 24 as of July 1, 2024
• Reside in the state of Alabama for at least six months prior to the preliminary competition
• Not be married or have children
• Have a high school diploma or GED

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can download an application at the Miss Alabama website (www.missalabama.org). The deadline to submit your application is March 1, 2024.

The Miss Alabama competition consists of four phases:

1. Local preliminary competitions: Held in various cities across the state, these competitions select the top contestants to advance to the state finals.
2. State finals: This competition will be held in Montgomery, Alabama, in June 2024. The winner of the state finals will represent Alabama at the Miss America Competition.
3. Miss America Preliminary Competition: The Miss America Preliminary Competition is held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in the fall. The top 15 contestants advance to the Miss America finals.
4. Miss America Finals: The Miss America Finals are held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in December. The winner of the Miss America Finals is crowned Miss America.
